Ashim is Senior Partner & Business Unit Head at NRI (Nomura Research Institute) Consulting & Solutions, India where he leads the Automotive, Engineering & Logistics Business in India and emerging markets. He has a rich experience in the in the automotive value chain, New Technologies in Mobility – (Electric Vehicles, Connected, Shared), Green Hydrogen, Bio Fuels, Natural Gas Vehicles, Circularity, Logistics, Agricultural Tractors, Moulds & Dies Industry, etc. and has worked with several players in the industry while leading large scale projects across India, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Africa and South East Asia.  Most of his work has been in the areas of Overall Business Strategy, New Product Development, Scenario Planning, Market Entry, Cost Reduction, Project Management, Operations Improvement and Organisational Restructuring.

Ashim is also a thought leader in the Automotive Industry and has co-authored 50 plus reports which have been released in association with leading industry associations as well as in Indian and global publications. He has also been a speaker at leading global and Indian forums. 

Ashim holds Bachelors with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai with a Dean’s Merit List rank.
