Sharad Nigam brings a 29-year cross industry & cross functional experience of 12 countries in Strategy, Operations, Digital/technology transformation, and Organizational development.

As the Group Senior Vice President, Hitachi India, and APAC, he is currently responsible for strategy, business development, new business incubation and (technology led) business transformation. Hitachi with 26 companies & approx. 45K people employed in India, is contributing more than $2.5 Bn in Hitachi’s global business across Industrial businesses (e.g. Automotive, Energy, Rail, IT, infra, Lifts) and consumer businesses (e.g. Finance, Healthcare & Education). Reporting to Hitachi India Chairman & Managing Director, Sharad closely works with business heads (MDs and CEOs) of industrial businesses to drive growth, profitability, operational efficiency, and differentiation through next gen solutions/services.

In his professional journey earlier, Sharad was a technically sound process engineer at Denso & Samtel (combined 9 years), a globally acclaimed techno-functional manufacturing & supply chain consultant at TCS & Birlasoft (combined 7 years), and his last assignment before Hitachi was the chief architect of “Digital Factory Framework” & Strategy principal at Accenture (7 years).

He has authored 25 POVs & e-books on Strategy, Quality, Supply chain, Manufacturing, & Energy, has been a keynote / panel speaker at 40+ conferences, & has provided coaching to around 20,000 professionals worldwide. For his contribution to manufacturing industry, he was recently rewarded as “Manufacturing Leader of The Year”.

Sharad is a certified professional from MIT(US), among India’s first 10 certified instructor from APICS on supply chain, certified supply chain professional (CSCP), a certified six sigma black belt from GE Capital & Accenture, a certified internal auditor from TQMI, and a globally renowned speaker from MESA.
