Raman Garg is a seasoned power sector finance professional having interdisciplinary background. He holds a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering, MBA in Finance, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute, USA.
Starting his career with a premier Information Technology MNC, he transitioned to REC Ltd, where he specialized in the appraisal and financing of power projects spanning conventional and renewable generation, as well as transmission and distribution networks. With deep expertise in both public and private sector lending, he has been a key driver in the operationalization of several landmark Centrally Sponsored Schemes, including National Electricity Fund (NEF), DDUGJY/ IPDS, Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojana (UDAY), and the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). Currently, he is overseeing the implementation of PM Surya Ghar Yojana that aims to accelerate residential solar adoption across the country.
