Vikas Gupta is a seasoned power sector leader with over 24 years of experience in IT, ERP, and Operational Technology (OT) transformation within electricity distribution utilities. As CISO and Superintending Engineer at Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL), he oversees enterprise IT systems, SAP S/4HANA ERP, and OT infrastructure including SCADA and RTDAS.

He has led major digital initiatives under Government of India programs such as R-APDRP, IPDS, and RDSS, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and transparency. Currently, he is spearheading ISO/IEC 27001 implementation and establishing a Security Operations Center (SOC) to strengthen cybersecurity resilience across critical infrastructure.

His core expertise includes IT-OT convergence, cybersecurity governance, digital transformation in utilities, and regulatory compliance within the power distribution sector.
