Holding university Gold Medalist in Mechanical Engineering from CET Bhubaneswar, he has been driving force in NTPC’s transition from subcritical to ultra-supercritical and advanced ultra-supercritical technologies, driving indigenization and efficiency gains up to 46%. With his environmental sensibility, he pioneered the use of Air-Cooled Condensers (ACC) in large thermal power plants and developed India’s first supercritical unit with ACC, cutting water use and setting new ecological benchmarks.

Known for his rare ability to blend grassroots technical expertise with strategic business foresight, he has been instrumental in launching NTPC’s nuclear business from the ground up through ASHVINI and NPUNL and has positioned NTPC as a formidable force in India’s nuclear roadmap for 100 GW by 2047, directly contributing to the nation’s Viksit Bharat 2047 and Net-zero 2070 goals.
