A seasoned energy professional with over 32 years of extensive experience spanning Operation & Maintenance, Contracts & Materials Management, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, Human Resource Management, and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) domains in the power sector. Shri Shanitmoy Nandan holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with First Class Distinction and an MBA in Financial Management, reflecting a strong blend of technical expertise and managerial capability. He has also authored Articles on Strategic Management on reputed journals. Currently serving as General Manager (USSC) at NTPC, he leads the Vendor Development Cell, which focuses on nurturing and enabling prospective vendors to partner with NTPC in its journey of operational excellence and sustainable growth. An innovative and forward-thinking leader, he has played a pivotal role in shaping centralized procurement through the Unified Shared Services Centre (USSC) by driving initiatives such as Rate Contracts and Vendor Enlistment. Under his leadership, USSC has significantly expanded NTPC’s vendor base while achieving substantial savings in cost and resources, creating a win-win proposition for NTPC and its supply chain partners.
