Brijendra Bahadur Singh is a senior power-sector professional with over 17 years of extensive experience spanning execution, commissioning, system operation, and strategic transformation of large-scale electricity transmission systems. He is currently serving in a senior leadership advisory role at POWERGRID Corporation of India Limited, India’s largest transmission utility and a Maharatna CPSE.
He has hands-on experience in the commissioning of 765 kV EHV substations, FACTS devices, and advanced protection and control schemes. His professional journey includes exposure to Load Despatch and national power system operation, protection system design and audits, Asset Management and Strategic Leadership Advisory.
In recent years, he has led and contributed to enterprise-wide asset management and asset strategy, including ISO 55001-based frameworks, digital reliability roadmaps, lifecycle cost optimization, and investment prioritization supporting large-scale renewable integration.
An active contributor to global technical platforms, he was associated with IEC TC-123 and is currently a member of multiple international CIGRÉ working groups like B5.81 and C3-25.
