Mr. Deepak Kr. Saxena is a senior leader in the power and energy sector with nearly 38 years of experience across thermal generation, transmission & distribution, renewable energy, energy storage, and emerging clean-energy technologies. He has successfully led engineering, project development, execution, and operations for large-scale and complex power infrastructure projects.
Currently with Reliance Industries Limited, Mr. Saxena is involved in advancing energy-transition initiatives, including Renewable Energy–Round-the-Clock (RE-RTC) projects integrating solar and battery energy storage, along with concept development in green hydrogen, green methanol, and CBG-based energy systems. His work emphasizes innovative engineering, system integration, cost optimization, and tariff structuring.
Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at Kalpataru Power Transmission, Avaada Energy (formerly Welspun Energy), Reliance Infrastructure, and NTPC Ltd., contributing to landmark projects such as large single-location solar plants and pioneering 765 kV EHV substations in the private sector. A long-standing CIGRE member and regular speaker at professional forums, he brings deep technical insight, regulatory understanding, and practical judgment, making him a valued and respected member of the judging panel.
