Dr. Ashvini Kumar has worked in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy for over 26 years till 2012 in various capacities and handled various programmes related to R&D and policy development including National Solar Mission. Subsequently, he moved to Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI), a CPSE, and superannuated from there from the post of the Managing Director in July 2017. Later, he worked at TERI as Senior Director. Presently, he is engaged with Shakti Sustainable Energy
Foundation as Advisor.
Dr. Kumar obtained his Doctorate Degree in Solar Energy from IIT Delhi in 1981. He has co-authored three books published by International reputed publishers, several review articles and over 60 research papers in peer reviewed journals.
