Bio

Dr. Manohar Singh is an Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, India. He holds a B.E. from GCET Jammu, an M.Tech. from IIT Roorkee, and a Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, all in Electrical Engineering. With extensive experience in power systems research and consultancy, including his prior role as Engineering Officer at CPRI Bangalore, he has led over 40 research and consultancy projects.

His expertise spans power system protection, microgrids, renewable energy integration, and grid operation and control. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a recipient of the Outstanding Engineer Award from IEEE PES, the Best Faculty Award at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, and the Best Conference Paper Award at the prestigious IEEE PES General Meeting, Portland, USA, recognising his impactful contributions to research, consultancy, and the global power engineering community.
