Dr. Ritu Mathur is a climate and energy policy expert at the The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). For the last 2 years she was camped as a consultant at NITI Aayog tasked with setting-up and leading a Modelling and Integrated Assessment Unit to strengthen integrated evidence-based decision making in the Energy-Climate domain and coordinating the activities of the India Climate & Energy Modeling Forum (ICEMF) at NITI Aayog.
Over the last 3 decades, her work has contributed to national policymaking through inputs for formulation of India’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets, delineating Low Carbon Strategies for Inclusive Growth and influencing decision making through involvement as Expert in Working Groups across Ministries. She has also been involved as a Lead Author in the IPCC Working Group Reports and is a member of various National and International Steering Committees on Integrated Modeling & Climate Policy issues.
