Prabodh Bajpai has received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, India the M.Tech degree in Energy Studies from IIT Delhi, India and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India in 2008. After that he has served in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur, India. Currently he is working as a Professor in IIT Kanpur in the Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering, since 2022.
In his professional carrier of more than 17 years, he has served as a researcher, educator and administrator in highly reputed academic Institutions of India. He has delivered research outcome through several sponsored research and consultancy projects with substantial funding support from Government organizations as well as research & industrial organizations. He has published more than 125 publications in reputed journals and conferences, book chapters and 3 patents.
He has received Faculty Excellence Award Fellowship for outstanding contribution towards Teaching, Research and Institutional Development by IIT Kharagpur. He has received Bhaskara Advanced Solar Energy Fellowship Award from DST, Government of India. He has awarded with Sr. Research Fellowship from PMI, NTPC Ltd., India.
His research interests include Renewable energy systems, Power system restructuring, Smart Grid, Microgrid, Electricity market and Solar PV applications.
