Sh. Rajil Srivastava, Executive Director at POWERGRID, is a veteran of India’s power sector with over 35 years of expertise in Power Transmission Engineering, Asset Management and Project Execution. He currently leads POWERGRID’s Asset Management Department, ensuring the reliable performance of the world’s largest transmission utility.

As former CEO of POWERGRID Energy Services Limited, he drove smart metering, distribution upgrades and solar initiatives in demanding regions like Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He has led the commissioning of 150+ EHV substations and pioneered dynamic compensation technologies to support renewable integration, alongside key projects in Smart Grid and EV charging infrastructure.

A Gold Medalist in Electrical Engineering, Sh. Srivastava holds leadership roles as President of the National CIGRE B3 Committee, Chairman of BIS Committee ETD 35, and Nominee Director in multiple POWERGRID SPVs. With 25+ technical papers presented internationally and contributions to national transmission manuals, he is widely recognized for his strategic vision, technical depth, and leadership in shaping India’s energy future.
