Mr RK Srivastava is a mechanical engineer .He has varied experience in thermal power plants, including renewable energy. Mr Srivastava started his journey with NTPC in 1979 as the 4th batch executive trainee and continued his journey in NTPC till 2018. He started in NTPC with a singrauli super thermal power plant as erection and commissioning engineer in 1980 after one year of training and later on worked as boiler maintenance /maintenance planning until 1994. He was transferred to Rihand super thermal Power Station as a boiler and ash handling in charge and later on worked with turbine offsite also till 1999. He was then transferred as Dy General manager to corporate consultancy wing, where he started operation and maintenance dept and later on erection and commissioning ,PG testing and energy audit services .During the stint at consultancy, He provided consultancy services to international clients and did various assignments in different countries. He also provided services to various IPPs and SEBs in thermal power plants, including gas power plants . He was assigned a revival of Enron plant/ Ratnagiri gas and power plants. He was in charge of PIE implementation. Worked in consultancy marketing in addition to this . He was transferred to talcher Thermal in 2009 as General Manager/Head of project and plant performance improvements was then and talcher became top power plants in the country.. After this, he was transferred as chief executive officer/executive director in NESCL, a fully owned subsidiary of NTPC in 2012. After this, he was. assigned role of
Managing director of RGPPL.in 2013..later on worked as executive director and Head of project Ramagundam in 2014.later on made Head of NETRA .additionally worked as RED NCR,Executive director Western region and RED eastern region 2.before finally retiring from NTPC/NETRA in 2018
