Shubhra Thakur is the Director- Policy and Markets, Asia- Pacific and Country Director- India at LDES Council, supporting growth initiatives and strengthening partnerships and collaborations in the region. She has championed transformative solutions at the intersection of energy, health and social equity and crafted trailblazing policy frameworks that advance gender-responsive climate action and universal energy access. Previously, Shubhra headed Corporate Affairs at ReNew and led Policy and Government Affairs at various global health sector organizations. She consulted the Election Commission of India, developing strategies for the Voter Education Program (SVEEP) aimed at enhancing voter information, education, and electoral participation across India. During her tenure with the Press Information Bureau of India, she managed Press Operations for the Commonwealth Games 2010 in New Delhi. Additionally, Shubhra has produced and directed numerous TV programs, documentaries, and talk shows focusing on corporate governance, sustainability, and energy sector issues.
An Executive MBA graduate in Strategy and Marketing from Delhi University, Shubhra is also a recipient of the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women scholarship. Her thought leadership extends to international publications and forums where she has demonstrated her unwavering commitment to gender empowerment, climate stewardship, and creating a just and sustainable future. She is based out of New Delhi, India.
