I am Vineeta Agarwal, CEO(PESL) and a Scada Expert with over three decades of experience driving IT/OT integration and pioneering transformative solutions that shape the future of energy in the power sector. 

Currently, I am heading Powergrid Energy Services Limited (PESL), a 100% owned subsidiary of POWERGRID, which is entrusted with the new business initiatives of Smart Metering, Loss reduction works, BESS and Roof top solar. 

Under the Government of India's ambitious Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), I am leading:

• Implementation of large-scale Smart Metering projects with an ambitious target to install 70 lakhs smart meters across vast geographical areas in Madhya & Uttar Gujarat that will help in reducing energy losses while enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Projects related to Loss Reduction Works in the challenging terrains of J&K, Leh and Ladakh.

Under POWERGRID’s diversification initiative through Batter Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, recently we have won a project in Andhra Pradesh 150MW/300MWh.

In line with the Hon’ble PM’s vision, under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, we are implementing 32 MW Rooftop Solar Projects across various establishments of POWERGRID.   

In past, I have:

• Played a key role in implementing the Renewable Energy Management Centre (REMC) initiative to accelerate India's transition to clean energy,
• Conceptualized Phasor Measurement Based Unified Real Time Dynamic State Measurement Scheme (URTDSM)
• Spearheaded the implementation of the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) project in the Northern Region (1998-2007)
