He is a seasoned strategic finance leader with over 28 years of cross-functional experience in the Indian power sector, and is an engineer and MBA from IIM Calcutta. At Power Finance Corporation (PFC), he has played a pivotal role in shaping corporate strategy, strengthening the institution’s financial position, and aligning its growth with national priorities in power, infrastructure, and energy transition. His work spans financial planning, capital structuring, risk management, and institution-building in a highly regulated environment.
Over his career, he has led marquee transactions across debt and equity markets, including a successful IPO, multiple bond issuances, and innovative instruments such as green bonds. He has been closely involved in executing strategic transactions like the REC acquisition, major Govt disinvestment and M&A initiatives, and large infrastructure funding programmes that unlocked new market opportunities. His experience extends to stressed asset management and institutional reforms, where he has helped strengthen asset quality, governance standards, and financial resilience.
He is also known for his contribution to regulatory and policy innovation, engaging with government and regulators on RBI norms, exemptions, and financial frameworks that enable sustainable sectoral growth.
